Cleans the records thourghly and keeps the ticking and skipping to a mimimum. The one I had way back had the wooden block hollowed out so you could store the liquid in the block. Works great. Bought a vinyl to mp3 recording device for my wife for Christmas and also a D4+ kit. This one comes with a small pouch. I remember having one of these back in the 70's. Shouldn't try to transfer records to mp3's without this type of product. Not as good for storage. But a great product non the less.
If you have old binyls you need it. In Ebay you will find a better offer which includes more bottles.
Also included is a stylus brush (nice touch). This record cleaner is basic to any record collector's needs. It does a fine job of cleaning records and reducing static. The brush and cleaning fluid are very effective. Nice to find a product I have enjoyed since the late 1970's still available and as effective as ever if not better now.
I had one 10 years ago and it lasted forever- this is NOT the same product. The pad is all faded and the bristle area is bald. I never thought to read these reviews before buying it. One month later it is useless. Until they come out with a new product stay away. I can only hope the seller will provide some support because this is junk and that is just really sad.
This product is a joke. When you have them side by side, it's immediately apparent that the fabric on this version is much less adept at the rather straightforward task of cleaning a record. I couldn't believe it - it's literally a piece of corduroy tacked onto a wooden block. I found a mint version of the old RCA discwasher on eBay, and I suggest you do the same. The old version came with a 12 page manual, for crying out loud. As vinyl sales continue to increase, I hope that soon they will pressured to bring back the "old" discwasher - this is a pale immitation.
